Cats are not small dogs! Cats, unlike dogs, are obligate carnivores. This means that they need a primarily meat based diet since their digestive system cannot digest and absorb plant material. They have a limited ability to digest carbohydrates. Cats need a higher content of protein in their diet than dogs since they use protein also as a source of energy. Proteins are broken down to their simple form, i.e., amino acids in the body.

Amino Acids are the building blocks of proteins that are required for growth, repair and maintenance of body tissues like muscle, organs, skin, hair, transport of oxygen, immune functions, etc. amino+ Cat provides all 11 essential amino acids required by cats as well most of the important non-essential amino acids.
