Note:
Benefits of Ingredients:
-
MCHC (Microcrystalline hydroxyapatite concentrate):
It is a compound derived from whole animal bone, which is composed of calcium, magnesium, zinc, silica, manganese, and other trace minerals. MCHC has been shown to support bone health by acting as "bone food." MCHC contains proteins including collagen proteins and other ingredients that comprise the organic portion of bone. The bioavailability of calcium from MCHC is very good since it contains all the minerals naturally occurring in healthy bone in the right proportions. It contains biologically active growth factors. Such growth factors are known to directly stimulate bone cell activity thereby enhancing bone formation. MCHC has been shown to be highly successful in minimizing bone loss as well as positively affecting bone healing. This includes reducing the incidence of fractures as well as facilitating the healing of fractures.
-
OHC (Ossein hydroxyapatite complex):
It is a super bioavailable form of calcium, which provides a number of additional minerals (magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, zinc), and proteins (osteocalcin, type I collagen, type I insulin growth factor I and II, glycosaminoglycans transforming growth factor beta and bone amino acids) associated with bone metabolism. OHC improves pain symptoms and accelerates fracture consolidation in patients with osteopenia or osteoporosis. It is significantly more effective in preventing bone loss than inorganic calcium supplements.
-
Algal Minerals:
These are sourced from marine plants. They have high bioavailability and better absorption & utilization in the body. Algal minerals include calcium, boron, magnesium, manganese, silicon and more than 60 other trace minerals. Algal calcium helps in increasing synthesis & mineralization of bone through increased enzymatic and osteoblastic activity.
-
Calcium:
Essential for healthy growth and development of the skeletal system. Also required for blood coagulation, muscle contraction and nerve transmission. Prevents milk fever or eclampsia in lactating animals.
-
Phosphorus:
Along with calcium it forms an essential component of bones. It is required for digestion, excretion, protein synthesis, hormonal balance, energy synthesis, cell repair and many metabolic reactions.
-
Calcitriol:
It is the active form of Vitamin D3 that is a fat-soluble vitamin. It is needed for proper absorption of calcium and phosphorus from the intestinal tract. It increases bone mass density and the activity of osteoblasts (bone producing cells). It reduces the risk of osteoporosis and hip dysplasia. It helps in the treatment of rickets and osteomalacia (softening of the bone). It helps prevent low calcium and bone loss in animals with kidney failure.
-
Collagen Peptides:
It is the hydrolysed form of collagen and contains most of the essential amino acids. Its low molecular weight makes it easily digestible with high bioavailability. It has a regenerative effect on cartilage.
-
Vitamin K2:
Helps in building & maintenance of bones as well has benefits for overall bone health and density. It activates bone proteins like osteocalcin that binds calcium to the bone matrix and increasing density & strength of bones. It has also has a beneficial effect in cardiac and dental health.
-
Horsetail Extract:
Very rich in silica which is vital for formation of collagen in bone, cartilage and connective tissue. May also promote healing of broken bones and connective tissue.
-
Boron:
It is essential for healthy bone and joint function, regulating the absorption and metabolism of calcium, magnesium and phosphorus. May help alleviate the onset osteoarthritis and prevent prostate cancer. It also helps in building lean muscle.
-
Vitamin B6 (Pyridoxine):
It is a water-soluble vitamin. Helps in amino acid metabolism, synthesis of proteins, hormones and neurotransmitters. It promotes red cell production, cardiac functioning and sodium-potassium balance, antibody formation and immune system functioning. Needed for absorption of vitamin B12.
-
Vitamin A:
It is a fat-soluble vitamin. Beneficial for eyes, immune system, bone metabolism and healthy skin. Helps in organ growth in a developing foetus. Acts as an antioxidant that eliminates free radicals and prevents cell & tissue damage, slows down the process of ageing, helps in preventing cardiovascular diseases, cancer, inflammatory diseases, etc.
-
Vitamin C:
It is a water-soluble vitamin. It stimulates the osteoblasts thereby enhancing bone formation. It is vital for synthesis of collagen, which forms a component of cartilage, tendons, etc. Acts as an antioxidant, attacking free radicals in cellular fluids formed due to cell metabolism. May help in age related as well as diabetic cataract. Helps boost immunity.
-
Magnesium:
It aids muscle and bone development and is necessary for absorption of calcium. Magnesium works in harmony with calcium and phosphorus. It is required for many biochemical reactions in the body.
-
Zinc:
It is an important co-factor in the stimulation of bone building osteoblasts. Plays a role in immune function, protein synthesis, wound healing, DNA synthesis, brain function, skin, coat, hormone production, fertility and cell division. Zinc also supports normal growth and development in a growing animal. It is vital for maintenance of healthy skin and coat. Acts as an antioxidant and is an integral part of several metabolic and enzymatic processes.
-
Vanadium:
Helps in regulating blood sugar and may play a role in thyroid hormone metabolism.
