What is cold pressed dog food?
You know how cold-pressed oils keep more of their goodness because they're made without high heat? Same idea, for dog food. Regular kibble is blasted at high temperatures to puff it into light, airy pellets. Venttura uses no external heat. The ingredients are pressed under mechanical pressure, and that pressure alone brings the food to around 75°C which is enough to keep it safe and shelf-stable, while holding on to the nutrients and natural flavours your dog benefits from.

How is it different from regular dry dog food?
Regular dry food or kibble goes through a process called extrusion — high heat, steam, and puffing that creates those hollow, airy pellets. Venttura works differently. Lower temperature, no puffing, no air pockets. What you get is a dense, compact, nutrient-rich pellet that your dog's body can actually make the most of.
Regular dry food or kibble is also processed at above 150°C, which destroys heat-sensitive nutrients and vitamins; those then have to be added back in synthetically. At 75°C, Venttura keeps most of those nutrients intact naturally.

What makes Venttura Cold Pressed different from other dog foods?
A handful of things, and honestly most of them are hard to find anywhere else in India.
First, the protein. We build our recipes around turkey and duck — over 45% in the Junior formula and 40% in the Adult one. Both proteins are novel proteins, they're easy to digest, and dogs are far less likely to react to them than to chicken. Why does the portion look so small? Am I underfeeding my dog?
We hear this one a lot - and it makes complete sense. Venttura pellets are dense and solid all the way through, not hollow and puffed with air like regular dry food. Think of it like comparing a handful of almonds to a bowl of puffed rice. Same nutrition, very different volume.
Your dog is getting more per bite, not less. Follow the feeding chart based on your dog's weight and activity level, and resist the urge to top up just because the portion looks small.
One important note: don't use a measuring cup meant for kibble or dry food. Venttura is much heavier, so the same cupful gives you a completely different weight of food. Use the Venttura measuring cup provided, or weigh the food on a kitchen scale for accuracy.
Is it easier on my dog's stomach?
Yes, and here is why. Regular dry food or kibble absorbs moisture quickly and swells in the stomach, much like a dry sponge expanding in water. Cold pressed pellets do the opposite - they soften gradually and break down steadily as they move through the digestive tract, releasing nutrients at each stage rather than all at once.
This gentler breakdown places far less strain on the gut, which is why dogs with sensitive stomachs often respond noticeably well after switching. Most pet parents notice firmer stools and reduced gas within the first one to two weeks.

My dog's stomach is always upset. Could the food be the reason?
Quite possibly. Loose stools, excessive gas, dull coat, and recurring skin irritation are among the most common signs that a dog's food isn't agreeing with them; and they're easy to dismiss as just "how this dog is."
